Buzznet and the Houston Chronicle Offer Site to Share Storm Images and Tales

LOS ANGELES and HOUSTON — September 23, 2005 — Buzznet Inc., developers of the leading social network, today announced it has teamed up with the Houston Chronicle to offer a site,, where visitors in the Houston area, as well as across the world, can share their own personal tales and images surrounding their experiences with Hurricane Rita.

As it did with the Mississippi's Sun-Herald ( for Hurricane Katrina, Buzznet offers a place where anyone with a digital camera or camera phone can instantly communicate with family and strangers alike. People can send messages to loved ones about their whereabouts, show images from their neighborhood before and after the storm and even share a personal perspective of the experience in words and pictures that can't be covered by traditional media.

Citizens can post a photo and/or comment to the Buzznet Hurricane Rita gallery by visiting the site or simply emailing the message and photo from their computer or phone to [email protected].
