Buzznet Inc. Launches Buzznet 2.0 Community Platform with Optimized Video, Tagging and Organizational Capabilities to Create, Share and Distribute Multimedia Content

Goldenvoice Partners with Buzznet for Online Community Experience Documenting the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

LOS ANGELES — March 27, 2006 — Buzznet, Inc. announced today it is launching Buzznet 2.0, a vibrant content creation and sharing platform  providing the broadest mix of self expression and communication tools currently available to create, discover, tag, remix and share multimedia around common interests.  Buzznet 2.0 was built from the ground up to feed the needs of the rapidly emerging social media category – whose users are no longer satisfied with just consuming media and instead prefer to participate in media by building communities around the content they create, find, and remix.

“Buzznet 2.0 is the next evolution of media. Email, instant messaging and basic websites just do not cut it anymore.   Everyone wants a richer and more engaging online community experience,” says Anthony Batt, CEO and co-founder of Buzznet. “Our pop culture community site, Buzznet.com, provides an opportunity for authentic new voices to create multimedia content about popular movies, music, TV, and celebrity life and then allows them to organically share their content in a raw, unpackaged exchange.”

The company also announced an exclusive partnership with event promoter Goldenvoice to create an interactive site for attendees of the 2006 Coachella Valley Music Festival.   Leading up to, during and after the festival, event attendees will be able to post and share photos, video and stories at Buzznet.com by tagging their content 'Coachella'. This content will be available in real-time on their Coachella community site on Buzznet.com.

“Buzznet has done an amazing job in creating an online community, where music fans can gather to share their enthusiasm for their favorite artists and really feel that much closer to the bands they love, “ says Paul Tollett, president of Goldenvoice. “We are looking forward to working with Buzznet on future projects, as people continue to tap into the site to stay connected.”

“Buzznet has a unique approach to building fan-based community for bands, tours and festivals by enabling fans to tag content and share photos and videos,” says Marc Brown, co-founder of Buzznet. “Using Buzznet, fans can actually participate in a conversation with their favorite artists allowing them to form a deep and long lasting connection with them.

At Buzznet, only the content creators register.  The open structure of the community site allows millions of monthly visitors to freely access the content they discover on the site.  Unique Buzznet 2.0 features include video and audio sharing, improved text blogging tools, member created communities based on media tagging, real-time friends capabilities and media presence alerting.  Member created media is also shared with other online communities and syndicated via RSS feeds to millions of other bloggers to repost, in addition to being accessible on leading search engines.

Buzznet enables its members to capture as well as access content via mobile devices while using the online platform to create community.

In addition to establishing its own branded communities, Buzznet Inc. licenses its technology and services and creates branded social media experiences for major brands.  The company recently launched a Japanese-language site, Buzznet.jp, which features culturally specific features and content emulating the Buzznet.com model.  Other partners include SXSW as well as major brands, such as Red Bull, Kyocera, Playstation and Snickers.
